Building Social Skills and Creativity in Pre K

Pre K children are full of energy and imagination. They come to school ready to explore and play with different material that can give them the opportunity to feel different textures. Playtime for a child is always important and it helps them learn important factors such as how to negotiate, how to share, how to play a certain role, how to work alongside with the other children to reach a goal, how to take turns and how to be patient. They need all these components to function in life later on and these experiences will accompany them during the rest of their school years. It’s in Pre K that they also learn to accept their friends and to take into account their feelings. A child in Pre K learns to count and write letters, but most importantly, they need to socialize and make friends.
